HOW TO CHANGE YOUR WHM ROOT PASSWORD? [EASY GUIDE]☑️
Today in this tutorial you will learn how to change the WHM root password. If you wish to change the password of your WHM then go with the instructions provided in this article. Before getting started let us quickly watch this video on how to change your WHM root password.
There are two ways to change the WHM root password:
1) Via WHM root interface
2) Via SSH (PuTTy)

1)Follow the steps given below to change WHM root password via WHM interface:
Step::1 Login to WHM as root
Step::2 Go to Server Configuration icon on the home screen.
Step::3 From the Server Configuration menu, click Change Root Password.
Step::4 In the New Password field, enter the desired new password.
Step::5 In the Confirm New Password field, retype the new password.
Step::6 Click on Change Password to confirm your changes.
2)Follow the steps to change the root password via PuTTy:
Step::1 Login to PuTTy
Step::2 Type “passwd” and press enter
Step::3 Now enter the New Password and press enter
Step::4 Again Retype the password and press enter
