Zen Cart is an online store management system. It is free, open-source and user-friendly E-commerce web application software that provides features with which user can turn its simple website to an e-commerce platform.
Today, in this tutorial, we will explain the procedure to install Zen Cart using Softaculous in cPanel.
- Login to cPanel account and search Softaculous in the search bar.
- Select Softaculous Apps Installer.
- You will be directed to next page. Navigate to E-Commerce section and select Zen Cart from the list. You can search zen cart in the search bar as well.
- Click over Install Now and proceed to install Zen Cart in cPanel using Softaculous.
- On the next page, enter the required credentials.
Enter the Credentials - In Software Setup section, Choose Installation URL, choose the URL to install the software.
- Choose Protocol: Select protocol for your website URL from the drop down.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for you want to install Zen Cart. (If you have multiple domains, then select the one from the drop down list).
- In Directory: Enter the directory name in which you want to install all the files and directories of Zen Cart. (If you leave this box blank it will install in your domain directory).
- In Store Settings,
- Store Name: Enter the name of your store that will appear on your website.
- Store Owner: Enter the name of the store owner.
- Store Address: Address of Store which will appear on your website and let your customers know more about you.
- In Admin Account section,
- Admin Username: Enter the username which you will use to acces your admin panel.
- Admin Password: Generate a strong password to login to your admin panel.
- Admin Email: Enter the email where you will receive all your updates.
- Scroll down to Advanced Options and set up your database details.
- Click over Install and complete the Installation. As the installation gets completed, you will receive a message.
Successfully installed Zen Cart
Now, you can login to your Zen Cart admin area with Administrative URL.
Enter the required username and password and then Submit. You will be directed to Zen Cart dashboard.
