How to transfer a domain name from one hosting to another[Updated]

Login to GoDaddy’s official website. Visit https://www.godaddy.com 

Now go to Domain Manager option and click on Manage all

Click on the domain name that you want to transfer to Redserverhost

Ensure that you administrative email contact is up-to-date

1. Log in to the GoDaddy Domain Details page for the domain name that you want to transfer.

2. Click the Domain and scroll down to Contact Information and click Edit.

Skip this step if already done!!!

Unlock your domain name

Click on the Domain, scroll down to Additional Settings, check whether the Lock is set to On or Off.

To unlock the domain name, click Edit.

If the domain locking is already Off, skip this step also and Get your domain’s transfer authorization code.

Steps to Get your domain’s transfer authorization code

1. Log in to the GoDaddy and go to Domain manager

2. Click on the Domain, scroll down to Transfer Domain option

GoDaddy will then take you to this page where it will ask you the reason for transferring you can also leave the “Why are you transferring?” box blank if you wish.

The click on Continue with transfer button

In a few minutes you will receive an email from GoDaddy containing your transfer authorization code/ EPP Code.

Now go to Redserverhost official website https://redserverhost.com

Login to Redserverhost

Once you’re signed in, You can then go to Domain section and click on Transfer Domain to us

Redserverhost will then forward you to his page:

Here you have to submit the domain name and EPP Code

Then click on Add to Cart

After this you will be redirected to this page where you have to review your domain configuration and then click on Continue to move ahead

Proceed to checkout

Transfers can take anywhere up to 5-7 days to compete.

However you don’t need to wait for so long, you can approve Godaddy domain transfer out in just 5 minutes.
