In order to fix “Invalid/etc/resolv.conf” found error while cPanel installation you have to edit this file PuTTy or via using ConfigServer Explorer in WHM

Set the DNS servers to be used by adding into the file: /etc/resolv.conf :

Steps to set up the DNS Servers:

  • Login to your WHM(Root)
  • Find ConfigServer Explorer
  • Go inside the Directory etc
  • Then go to resolve.conf file and add the given line:
nameserver [IP_Address]
nameserver [IP_Address]

[Note: In place of IP_Address write the real IP resolver. For ex. nameserver 173.254.145.28]
