How to Install Concrete CMS via Softaculous?

Concrete CMS is an open-source content management system that allows user to manage website contents easily with provided built-in tools. It provides multiple features including tools for responsive design, themes and templates etc to manage the website content.

In this tutorial, we will discuss the procedure to install Concrete CMS via Softaculous.

Install Concrete CMS
  • Login to your cPanel account.
  • Go to SOFTWARE section and select Softaculous Apps Installer.

  • On the next page, navigate to Portal/CMS section and select Concrete CMS.
  • Then, click over Install Now and proceed to install Concrete CMS from Softaculous.

  • In Software Setup section, choose the URL to install the software.
    1. Choose Protocol: Select protocol for your website URL from the drop down.
    2. Choose Domain: Select the domain for you want to install Concrete CMS. (If you have multiple domains, then select the one from the drop down list).
    3. In Directory: Enter the directory name in which you want to install all the files and directories of Concrete CMS. (If you leave this box blank it will install in your domain directory).
    4. Choose the version to install from the drop down. (If you have php version less than 8.0, then it is recommended to install lower version of Concrete CMS)

  • In Site Settings section,
    1. Site Name: Enter a name for your website.
    2. Sample Data: Mark the box as per your choice. 

      Set up Installation
  • In Admin Account section,
    1. Admin Username: Enter the username which you will use to access your admin panel.
    2. Admin Password: Generate a strong password to login to your admin panel.
    3. Admin Email: Enter the email where you will receive all your updates.
  • Scroll down to Advanced Options and set up your database details and then click over Install and complete the Installation.

*(If you have PHP version less than 7.3 and MYSQL version 5.4 then you can simply select the lower version from the drop down as directed in Software Setup section and complete installation)

  • As the installation gets completed, you will receive a message.

Now, you will get website URL and Administrative URL.

  • If you click over first URL then you will be directed to your website page.

  • If you click over Administrative URL, you will be directed to Admin Login Page.

  • You will be successfully logged in to the Concrete CMS dashboard.
