How to view hidden files (.dotfiles) in cPanel? [Important| Revised 2019]

Most of the users ask us how they can view .htaccess file and other hidden files for their websites in cPanel. By default, such files are not shown.

To see the hidden(.dotfiles) files in cPanel follow these steps: [Updated May 2019]

step::1 Log into your cPanel account.

step::2 Go to File Manager (Files Section)

step::3 Click the top-right Settings button.

step::4 Then on the Preferences window, check the option Show Hidden Files (dotfiles)

step::5 Confirm the action by clicking the Save button

step::6 Now you will see all hidden files (including .htaccess files) in File Manager.
