Which hosting plan should I choose?

A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their website accessible via the World Wide Web. When we think of purchasing hosting for our blog or website then there are many parameters that decide which hosting should be chosen. I am going to discuss some of them:

  1. Programming Language: The programming language is the very important thing that has to be taken care of while deciding the type of server/hosting. There are two types of hosting platforms one is Linux and the other is windows where Linux is more famous in today’s world. If your website/blog is built using PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, etc. or with WordPress, Joomla, Prestashop, drupal, etc. then it is highly recommended to go for Linux platform but if your site is built using JSP, .net, or mssql, then go for windows. It is easier to handle Linux hosting as compared to windows hosting.
  2. Resources To Be Used By Your Site: Different types of sites require a different amount of resources. Some will execute awesomely with only 1 GB of web space while others may require 500 GB or even more. Generally, the blogs which have less amount of visitors, static websites, showcase websites like only showing products not purchasing, do not require very much of resources. These types of sites should be hosted in a shared hosting plan. But, if your site has more than 500 visitors, highly dynamic sites like ERP or Google play store app site, small e-commerce website, then you should go for VPS. If you have an even more complex website that requires more dedicated resources like 8 cores CPU, 2 GB RAM, or a website that has 10000 visitors every time, or big e-commerce sites like Amazon or Flipkart, then you should go for a dedicated server without even thinking twice. Sometimes people also want to resell their hosting. This means they want to become resellers and want to create sub-accounts or sub-resellers under themselves. They should go for reselling plan or a master reselling plan.
  3. Your Pocket: The money you can spend on hosting is directly proportional to the features of the hosting plan. If your pocket does not allow a higher-priced plan then you can purchase the very basic plan in the same category of the hosting platform. It is also a very important point that one has to keep while purchasing and when your business grows, you can simply upgrade to a higher plan. Remember, always choose such a hosting provider who asks you to pay only the difference amount of the upgraded plan if you upgrade within at least 6 months of purchase.

So these were some basic parameters that help you to decide the plan you should purchase for your website.
