How to take complete backup of cPanel account which can be restored only by Root? [Important| Revised 2019]

Here in this blog we will provide you step by step tutorial of how to take complete backup of your cPanel account which can be only restored by Root.

Steps to take Full Backup of cPanel account is listed below: [Updated May 2019]

step::1 Login to your cPanel Interface

step::2 Scroll down to Files section

step::3 Click on Backup Wizard

step::4 Now click on Backup option

step::5 Now click on Full Backup

step::6 Now select the Backup destination and click on Generate Backup

step::7 Now a tar.gz file will be downloaded. You can view this file in your Backup Directory.

Now coming to Restoration process

Now here the question arises that how we could restore complete cPanel account within the same cPanel account?  It is just like going beyond limits. So let me make one thing sure that only root can restore full backup of a user’s cPanel from cPmove inside WHM(Root).

Or if you want to do this anyhow then you can extract the tar.gz file from 7zip and find the database, home directory files of your website accordingly and restore it in your cPanel manually.
